Quiet, but not peaceful.
I’m working on keeping the door locked tight.
On not letting You in.
What would happen, if I did open the door?
Let You in, let You see, all of me.
The real me.
I can give.
I can serve Your church, Your people.
I listen, wait patiently,
Work with the children.
I can be useful.
Faithful.
But I daren’t open the door and let you in.
Especially when I can hear You, knocking
Knocking – gently knocking.
Because I don’t know what would happen,
If I did open the door to let You in.
