Baptism

I was baptised on 6th February, 2005, at South Street Baptist Church in Exeter, by the Revd. Peter Webb. I was given a Bible verse from Timothy to hold fast to,

I am sure that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.

2 Timothy 1: 12

God can always take care of me. As I was baptized the congregation sang ‘Just as I am’. God accepts me just the way I am.

Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come.

It was one of the happiest days of my life. I felt so loved and wanted by God, my family, and friends.
