In Locus Christi

I sit with you.
I am crying
Or maybe, I have been crying.

I am hurting,
Troubled,
And you offer your hands in prayer.

So I pray.
I speak of the darkness enshrouding me,
Reveal the secrets of my heart.

I can’t open my eyes to look at You
while I talk.
I am deeply ashamed.

You listen.
Reflect.
Assure, and reassure.

With God, there are no secrets.
I am precious and beloved,
In His sight and Yours.

You hold my hands
In locus Christi,
And I know that,
No matter what,
All shall be well.
