I saw this via Twitter. It’s on a church door in Builth Wells, Wales. I’m re-posting it because it is humourous, and also because it is making a serious point. God is waiting to meet us wherever we are with Him, and even if we weren’t really looking for Him in the first place. He sometimes meets us when we least expect Him to.
NB: “Dydw i ddim yn siarad Saesneg” = “I don’t speak English”
Indeed, if I hadn’t have gone to church, as an agnostic, in a mis-guided attempt to keep the peace between my parents, who forever rowed each other about whose fault it was that their children weren’t going to church (so they had one child who was and one who wasn’t going to church) – I would never have come to know God.
